High blood sugars due to extreme heat at work? - what blood sugar numbers are considered high
the last 2 weeks the temperature in my area was about 90 when I go to work. I work in a garage that has not aircondtioning. Since its so hot, I realized that my blood sugar in the blood is abnormally high. 140 more or less for most. It is to this offer, no matter what I do. I am active at work, so I thought it would work and much sweat. in the water and I drink a lot of everything I can. Is it safe for me to work in this heat? Is there anything I can do to help? Can I depend on my work because of the higher number of blood glucose? Recently I was diagnosed last February, so much that is new to me. in Type-2 medications. if I'm not at work, my values are really good and I have no problems. As if at home or ats not hot in my shop, I was mostly around 85-100.

I would say it's more stress in the workplace as heat. Many diabetics have blood sugar more often when working in heat or exercise in the heat ... or simply more active in the heat. Talk to your doctor. Your medications may be necessary to adapt, especially since you are newly diagnosed, can reduce even a little stranger. Colds increase, flu and other diseases, blood sugar levels. Always consult your doctor if you have a problem like this do not know, and what was the reason for it. You should also watch what you eat at work. View carbohydrates.
Could the heat, the heat stress, which in turn causes a higher degree of BS. Have you talked to your doctor about it? Did you eat? I know that when it is hot and not fair. You can try smaller meals or snacks. An apple and peanut butter or carrots with PB. A little experiment to see what works for you. Crackers and cheese would be good. Good luck
